When I go for an extended period without updating, it's because my livejournal has actually become a creature that causes anxiety in me. As in, I love reading what my friends are doing, and frequently think of things to write myself, but don't find the time. Then when I do decide to write, I realize how much I haven't written and that I really should play catch up, and the thought of that much work just turns me against the whole thing and I don't write. Thus, the cycle continues.
I'll make it simple:
* I got food poisoning, but I'm better now.
* I got a new car, maybe I'll post pictures. It's the cutest thing you've (n)ever seen.
* I've had two interviews at the Daily Press that seem promising, we'll have to see how that goes though.
* I really do watch far too much CSI.
Okay, that's the summary of the many days that have passed in which I haven't written.
Last weekend I was very bored. Chris works weekends, John was out of town, I realized I am the sort of person that likes being busy all the time. But that's not healthy, is it? So I relaxed... hung out with Dan and Jess... and it was glorious. This weekend, I will be going up to the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Don't call the vet school VA Tech, oh no. It's not. Either way, it'll be a good time and I'm very much looking forward to spending time with Dan/Jess and my first road trip with my new car. That is my current excitement.
I think that this afternoon will involve some Old Navy shopping and a few new fall clothing items. I got a bonus for working our convention (and getting food poisoned), so I may as well put it to good use. Perchance I can use this new wardrobe at a new job at the Daily Press, yes? Please?
Well... all that anxiety and this is what I came up with. Pretty pathetic. But at least you know I'm alive and well. And I have a sweet little car that you will want to ride in at some point.
Until next time! (In a month, possibly.)
