Last night I crossed one thing off of my "do before I die" list.

When the sirens started up, Alex and I actually drove NORTH into the storm itself. We parked in the Johnston High School parking lot next to this enormous empty field to the North, and watched the black clouds and blue lightening and listend to WOI. Then we saw something off to our left. It was hard to make out because we could only see it during lightening strikes, like freeze-frames or a strobe light. But it was definately a tornado, and it was definately huge, and getting bigger with each flash of lightening. I made Alex drive over to the Walgreens after that because I was scared, and then Mom called and wanted us to come home, so we did.

But I saw a real live freaking tornado. And it was every bit as awesome as I thought it would be.
