Well my my, I've been journalistically reticent lately. Have to get back on track, I 've had a hell of a break and you all have missed out reading about it! I wouldn't want to disappoint my adoring fans.
Here goes:
Hung out with the Pokey Club all last weekend. We played frisbee and basketball and climbed trees, shopped at Target and sat in our fireplace room, watched movies, drove around...a weekend that was glorious in its ordinariness. It was exactly like every weekend of my LIFE last year, and I was in an amazing mood just to get to relive it. Saw Eric, kick me in the stomache why don't you. Made a great mix on his computer.
Happy 17th Birthday Ashlee, I didn't get to tell you before. Good party. Good time.
What else...hung out at Myra's with Steve, Grant, Megan and Car. Played the Man Game...what a rush.
Last night I spent a Night on the Town with Alex and Garret. We saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind which was fantastic. Then we drove down to Chat Noir, and get this: they had a special that was FREE DESSERT with any drink you ordered. So I got a bete noir and alex and Garret got creme brulee...it was definatly like a 5 dollar value for all of us. And they were the most delicious things I've ever tasted.
So THAT rocked. But we got out of there at 10:30, and the night was young. Headed downtown to Java's (saw Glenn on the street. I love you Glenn!) and when they closed we ended up in the skywalks for an hour. We didn't see anyone except one Rent-a-Cop, but it's okay, he was on our side: he said "Sup, guys" when he walked by us.
At midnight we chased deer up at Capitol Hill. I swear, only in Iowa can you chase wildlife away from the premises of THE CAPITOL BUILDING.
I like Alex. It was a great night.
Good day today too, it was SO warm. I'm running out of patience so I won't tell all about it. But trust me, it rocked.
Spring Break. AAHhhhhhhh...
