Life is sorta like a Magnum

You know, life is sorta like a Magnum. You remove the inedible packaging, which, while attractive has no value. Once you remove them from the packet, their simplicity is kind of pretty to look at. In general, they're quite plain, either white or milk chocolate, occasionally with nuts embedded in it. But despite being plain, they possess a kind of beauty from their smoothness and regularity. And you can bite through the outer layer and eat the icecream and the outer layer at the same time. Or you can pick off the outer layer and eat it piece by piece. Even this offers some other decisions, such as where to begin, and how to proceed. The outer layer is deceptively sweet for its apparent plainess.

And once you've eaten all the outer layer, you are presented with a different kind of deliciousness, one you may not have been expecting. This is generally pure white and speckled with vanilla. And you can lick away this icecream, and you can have a lot of fun doing it. It can occupy you for a good long while. But, in the end, the icecream is always eaten, and you are left with nothing but the stick. And though you may want to cling to the memory of your icecream, the stick doesn't taste particularly nice, and finally you have to throw it away. But with the throwing away of the inedible stick comes the promise of another Magnum... in time. From the worthless packet to the worthless stick, from Magnum to Magnum, finding deliciousness where we can in between. Thus the cycle is complete.
