Star Trek
So I saw the Star Trek movie on Saturday. I must say, I was extremely impressed! For a series reboot going AU is a really good idea, especially for people who want to stay true to the original canon.
Want to know what the very first thing to go through my head was? "MOTHER FUCKING TIME TRAVELERS!!!" Seriously. How fucking annoying are they? The answer: VERY FUCKING ANNOYING!
Son of a bitch! Then follow it up with "MOTHER FUCKING ROMULANS!" Always messin with other peoples bidness!
But I really enjoyed it! I lol'd when young-kirk was driving his car and Sabotage was playing in the background (His step-dad's voice was done by Grunny! EEEE!), and little-Spock kicking some ass was pretty badass.
Actually, I have a hugenormous crush on Zachary Quinto, so I think he's pretty much the hottest that Spock has ever been. Srs. But 2 Spocks in one movie?! Yeah, that was pretty much The Secks. Spock was always my favorite TOS character.
The part I think I laughed the most at (because most of the laughing has been done after the fact) was reference to Sulu's fencing abilities. See, I don't remember a whole lot about everything that happened during TOS, but I do remember the episode where everyone goes nuts and loses their inhibitions. And Sulu starts fencing people (see icon). They also use that same plotline in TNG to get Data laid. Either way...lolworthy, and I adored it!
So yes! Huge thumbs up from me! JJ Abrams really outdid himself! I hope they make more!
