Ketchup
1 - Mandatory PTO sucks. I didn't take enough days off during the year and now I'm being forced to take days off in December. So last Monday I didn't work and then I worked 43 hours in 4 days. Basically, they're paying me time and a half for my time off. Silly folks.
2 - They did hand out gift certificates at the holiday party though only to our office. People who work for another division of the same company got bupkis. I got a signed, first edition of my favorite book!
3 - Note to self, it's bad when the lady who is waxing your eyebrows has to then trim them when she's done. Perhaps you should pluck the superlong white ones before you go in.
4 - Did I mention that my sister is off my couch? She is! Now I'm trying to get her a job at My Company. It beats working all day slicing meat. Although she's technically not a vegetarian anymore. Three cheers for the temptation of turkey.
5 - I got my apartment cleaned last week. A friend of a friend does it for a living and she only charges $20 an hour. She did my place in just over 3 hours (though not my room since that's where I had to shove everything). It even smells clean. A week later it still smells clean. I love her. She estimates that if she kept it up, it would be one hour every two or three weeks. (Don't tell her that I'd pay twice that.)
6 - Many other little things have happened but I've been so busy at work (as opposed to now when I'm at Kinko's) that I never get around to posting them. Yes, many emails to respond to as well. Bad me.
