I voted, then gave up and went to bed...

It took all of ten minutes to vote, I was second in line when I got there after work. It took an additional twenty minutes of patient listening to the 60+ year old poll worker who had learned all about the electronic vote backing-up process and wanted to explain it to someone before I could leave. I have to give the guy credit though - he really did know what was going on with the machine. They also had a machine for people to play with prior to actually voting (there had been some issue in early voting where people were having problems and accidentally switching their vote).

When I got home I was all set to watch the coverage (and repeatedly kick my boyfriend awake to try to get him to the polls - he was sick and indifferent about getting up and out in the cold weather), but after an hour or two it was pretty clear that I could watch all night and there wouldn't be a clear answer. Plus, even after waking him up a bunch more times to try to at least have someone to TALK to about the election, I gave up on listening to the election coverage through Mark's snoring.

SHIT. Someone in the office pointed out that a story just popped up about Kerry calling Bush to concede the election.

Maybe I should just go back to bed and wake up in four years.
