It was quite a depressing walk to work yesterday, in the rain, freezing cold, getting my new black flats all wet. Thinking about Elliot and Orlando and my sisters and art and babies. Thinking about Florida and the driving everywhere and the oppressive heat and its lack of musical opportunity. Thinking about Seattle and its incessant rain and grey skies and casual dress and rain boots.

Surprisingly, the mood has shifted. Optimism!
