Oi vey!

I have survived this weekend. It was a toss-up there around hour 8 of the midterm, when I started to think that poking my eyes out with my pencil would be a much more useful, ummm, use of my pencil than trying to do any more chemistry. I have never felt so reamed in my life. It made VH's pchem final look like a pleasant walk in the park! Oi vey! But it's over, for better or for worse. Anyone who wants to reassure me that they only give A's and B's in grad school is welcome to do so at this time.

In other news, I got a desk this weekend. (I snuck it in between all the chemistry! Cuz I'm so sneaky!) It is big, and I have already made it look like a mess. I found it on Craigs List, and overall, I am quite pleased. Unfortunately, I do not yet have a chair. (The family selling the desk was only selling a desk.) That was not good planning on my part. I DO have a seemingly infinite supply of blue storage bins, however! So I am now comfortably (?) situated on one of those. Another unfortunate result of the desk is that I somehow managed to break my computer while moving it from the floor to the desk. I have "Resource Conflicts" and my soundcard won't talk to my computer and/or vice versa, and my computer seems to think that I added quite a few new pieces of hardware. Ummm... I don't understand. Nor do I speak computer, so I will just go without sound until one of my roommate's computer-literate boyfriends stops by. Silly Windows. Silly HP. Turns out I ended up with a combination of bad and bad. Oops!

That basically sums up my weekend. I did chemistry and I got a desk. I guess Friday night I went with Melissa and her boy to see "Wimbledon." It was cute! But it wasn't really enough to constitute a weekend. I am going to require more weekend-ness from my weekends, I have decided. It did rain today! It was wonderful! A true downpour! Not the pansy stuff we got in Claremont. Mmmm, rain! Maybe it will rain again tonight! (I understand that I will not be as excited about the rain when I start having to walk to school in it, but for now, I will delight in it's fresh wetness!)
