I'm a bit of an AU whore, (I'm like a snowbird - spending six months of the year living in De-Nile! *g*) so this was a really nice read, and a very enjoyable story! You crafted the plot well. It was fun to watch them grow up as muggles - how you mirrored their wizarding lives, and I adored their camping trips. *g*

I liked the twist with it being Remus who fell behind the veil - it definitely made it interesting! And the dreams that weren't dreams... definitely had that "am I a man dreaming I'm a butterfly or a butterfly dreaming I'm a man" quality to it.

Nicely done! :)

Oh, gosh, thanks so much for your comment! I was so nervous about posting this, as it is my first real attempt at an R/S fic, though I've been a part of the fandom for about two years now. Really, I can't say how much your lovely comment means to me!

And I know exactly what you mean about being a bit of an AU whore-- I'm sure you've read KrisLaugh's Paper Wings, which is simply lovely and is right up there with Copperbadge's Stealing Harry universe.

You know, I'd love to see more AU's where Sirius and Remus raise Harry together in the aftermath of November 1981. Actually, I'd just love to see more AU's in general. It gives fanfic authors such a wonderful breadth of options, while keeping the characters we know and love IN character.

Wow, I've rambled on quite a bit! *sheepish grin* Anyway, thanks again, and I hope you don't mind if I friend you! ^_^

I was shaking in my metaphorical boots when I posted my first R/S fic, (just over a month ago!) despite the fact that I'd been writing in another fandom for a couple of years, but not as badly as when I posted my first R/S smut fic (a little less than a month ago - which happened to be my first smut fic ever!) :) I've only been reading HP fic since late August and became a puppyshipper sometime in September ( ... )

Oh, I love AU's too, and this was wonderful. Really, really.

I almost didn't read it, because I don't usually read anything that mentions veils in it (wimp that I am), but then I saw it was you, so I only bothered to read it because you comment so nicely on my stuff, and... oh.

I loved this. Oh damn it. I write the most useless reviews. The boys were just so sweet and perfect and normal, and they made sense as Muggles schoolboys, and I loved Sirius playing football!

And such a perfect way to fit an AU inside another AU. Brilliant, and I nearly died when he said Padfoot, even though I knew it was coming. And the way Remus felt his dreams were more real than his 'real' life.

And Croaker, I liked him, and counting exactly how many laws he was breaking!

You know, reading this review back, you'd think English wasn't my first language.

Sorry, but what I'm trying to say is I liked it.

Also there should indeed be more AU's (and therefore more happy endings hopefully?) and you've also finally convinced me that I should stop avoiding ( ... )

When I first saw that you read my story-- KabeyK, one of my most favorite R/S authors ever-- I wanted to melt into a puddle of fangirly goo on the floor, because OMG, it's KABEYK, and I LOVE HER!

Ahem.

I almost didn't read it, because I don't usually read anything that mentions veils in it (wimp that I am), but then I saw it was you, so I only bothered to read it because you comment so nicely on my stuff, and... oh.

You have just made my life. Really. I mean, I am such a huge fan of your writing (as I'm sure you've realized what with the laughter-induced hysteria in my reviews of Dating Disasters) and I can't tell you how much it means to me that you took the time to read and comment. I hope you don't mind if I friend you!

I'm glad you're going to read Paper Wings, which is quite the adventure. I'm sure you'll love it!

Thanks again, and I'll be sure to continue stalking your journal for updates! ^_^

Woo more friends!

And really, it's just me, you know? Nothing to get all excited about. And I can't believe you've been madly fangirling me when you write such good stuff yourself.

You should have your own fans! We should fangirl each other or something! God knows how that would work! (sorry, once I start with the exclamations, I can't stop)

...you guys are giving me lots to read...*pleased*

^_^ hehe, can you point me in the direction of "Paper Wings", then? I looked up KrisLaugh in LJ, but couldn't find her...tried a google search, too, to no avail. *Sigh*

But! Looks like I'll have an easy time finding "Dating Disasters."
Hope to find more of your great stories-- I've enjoyed all of your characters so far. <3

*Sheepish* Sorry for the randomness of this. :)

Just lost one comment into cyberspace... let's try again.

Okay, firstly spoilers. This means does your fic give away any info that will spoil an HP book for anyone who hasn't read it. (In which case why are they on RxS, you may ask!) You'd need to put OoTP, cos of references to the veil. It's silly doing it on a community like this, but it's a tradition.

Secondly, I don't do great reviews, but I wanted to tell you I really enjoyed that. Very entertaining. I specially liked the dream within a dream, and Remus's sporadic visions of Hogwarts. The interaction between Harry and a surviving Sirius was very convincing as well, IMO.

And of course, even if it will never happen, it's always good to be in an AU where R/S will live happily ever after...

lol, my spoilers comment ("I don't even know how to answer this question.") was meant sarcastically. I mean, given the nature of the challenge, it seemed ridiculous. Sorry that I broke the ranks of tradition, though-- I didn't mean to cause any confusion!

Secondly, thanks so much for your comment, I really appreciate it (especially as I am a big fan of your work!)

And I think everyone in the R/S fandom needs more happy endings...

Woo, happy endings! It should be illegal to make me cry with fanfic.

Bloody veils.

Oh, it's not especially tradition: I used to put them religiously, then stopped. I mean, why the hell bother? I really thought you didn't know, sorry.

So wonderful! The beginning of this part has just the right dreamlike quality. The writing's lovely, too. Really, really well done.

(And in reply to your reply in part one: my own stories change their minds so often about what tense they want to be that I completely understand! :-))

Delicous. I love AU's and this one is very very good. I'd like an epilouge!

Heehee, thanks so much for your comment! I'm so glad that you enjoyed this. Hmmm, an epilogue? Did you think I left something unclear and need to elaborate, or are you just a bit of a 'Happy Ending' whore, like me? *g*

Thanks so much! ^_^
