Today was actually a great day. I haven't had a great day in a while, but today was one. I was in a good mood and my customers were great as well. I saw a lot of my favorite people and some people I haven't seen in a long time. I saw an old customer Beau who used to frequent the store until he got a job faraway. I also saw Richard, whom I haven't seen since before Christmas!!
However, the big news is that Scott Cash and his wife Michelle stopped into the store for lunch!!!! I was so excited when I saw them that I literally jumped up and down. haha. I know, I am silly...but dang it...I missed those boys and no one has been in touch with me, despite my emailing them. So, having proof that they were home, even if it's just for a little while, was a good thing. It was wonderful to see the two of them and honestly...it really made my day better, even though later it made me a little sad. haha
I also got an email from Daniel when I got home. YAH! Bless his heart for responding to me when he got a minute.
It snowed for about 5 minutes today...I couldn't believe it. I'd been teasing all day about it snowing and I'll be darned it if didn't do it just to get back at me, I think! hahaha
When I got home, instead of taking a nap, as I have been doing since I got sick...I made myself a CD of some of my fave new artists and went to work on cleaning my apartment. I didn't really mean to make such a project out of it, but once I got started I was on a roll and as JP says, "Don't question..." therefore...I didn't. haha
I cleaned for ages and then stopped to finish up the last step on my taxes and then headed over to
mustangcandi's for dinner and Donage. Oh yes...she hooked me up with one of my all-time fave Numb3rs epis: Sabotage. *stops for a moment to relive the goodness that is Don and the wonderful JOJ
Then, I came home and continued my quest to locate my sister. All week I've been trying to call her and have only been able to leave messages on a machine in a house where at least 5 people live. It's very strange and I don't like it. I called my granny and she hooked me up with the second number in the house and again...I got a machine. So...I left yet another message at that number and even tried to call some other people who might know something, but they've changed their number since I called them last. : (
Now I am once again listening to the CD that I made for myself and getting ready to settle in to bed for some reading. Oh yeah. Luke...this customer that I just adore, was telling me over lunch last week about this book that he was reading and he made it sound so interesting and offered to let me read it. So, I agreed and he brought it in to me today. It's called Washington's Crossing and won a Pulitzer prize for history and apparently a lot of people have read and loved it. Even Michael was interested in it and said he was going to go to the library this evening and check it out...so I am excited about getting into it!
Well...that's about it for today, but I'll talk to you all later. Take care and I hope that you all have a wonderful Monday! *huge huggles...T
