What's going on?
I know you guys haven't heard from me in a while, but to be honest...not much was happening except job searching and that was tedious and exhausting. So...I didn't really have anything good or positive to say.
For the past 2 weeks, I've been working as a temporary administrative assistant at the University of Georgia School of Law. So far I am really liking it! I've applied for the position and am hoping that with some help from God and recommendations from people I've worked with, that I'll get a full-time position here. I'll keep you posted on how that goes. The lady doing the hiring went on vacation and won't be back until Tuesday, and then she will start looking through applications. If you have some extra good vibes you can spare, maybe send one my way?
Tuesday classes also start and so Monday is going to be a madhouse for me. Two of the professors that I work for haven't even set foot in the building yet, so I will have a ton to do to get everyone ready for their classes and of course...all at once.
Also, Professor Carlson is working on his next book and his deadline is swiftly approaching, so I will be working on editing that and getting it ready for him. I've already done a large portion of it, but I'm not sure how much more there is. It will be interesting to see it all put together and maybe...just maybe...I get to be in the acknowledgments. hehehehehe
Needless to say, I get to do dorky office things and I've been in hog heaven over it. LOL The professors that I've met so far are really nice and some of the students I will be working with have introduced themselves and they seem pretty cool. I really hope I get to stay on here. I am taking on the mentality that I'm not going anywhere, but I'm not decorating the office until I know for sure.
Until then, I'm just sitting here at my desk and living the dream. I hope this finds all of you well!
