Special to me...
I just wanted to share this because it's been a long road with me as far as being the Auntie that I want to be is concerned. As you may know, I've been in touch with Julena more over the past couple of months and have been talking to her on the phone at least once a week.
Earlier this week when I normally would have talked to her, she was just plain interested in other things and not with talking on the phone. I, for once, didn't take it personally. hehe
Then tonight I was talking to her mom and I kept hearing her say my name and whining for the phone. When she got on the phone, she was talking and laughing about lots of things. She loves to say, "Oh honey" and recently learned to say, "Good morning".
Then, she decided that she wanted to sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider", "Tiny Tim", and "Pat-A-Cake" and "The Hokey Pokey". Then we were talking (we giggle about 95% of the time we are talking) and she told me she loved me and we were blowing kisses and all that fun stuff.
Her mom wanted the phone back and she said, "No I'm not." and kept talking to me. Then it was time for me to go to dinner so I told her I had to go and we were saying bye and her mom told her to tell me goodbye and she kept saying, "No I'm not" and kept repeating my name like she was trying to keep me on the line.
Her mom said that I had to go to dinner and Julena started talking about eating and then I told her that I would talk longer and take her with me. I took the phone and started off to Candi's and when I told her that I was outside, she thought I meant I was outside of where she was, bless her heart.
It was so hard to get off of the phone with her...she was upset and crying when her mom took the phone from her finally and it was sad because I really just love her so much and it felt nice that she wanted to talk to me.
I'm glad to be in touch with Jess...and I'm glad that I get to be a part of Julena's life now...it makes life so much better. : ) Love you guys!!
