Money in the Bank!!

Last weekend was full of both ups and downs. The downs...I had some pretty rough times at work. The ups? The District boys made their way down and hung out with us before their show in Charlotte. It was so awesome to finally meet them and to spend some time with them...they are all such great people in their own ways and as a unit, they are just amazing. Here are some photos of our times up through Tuesday night:

This was a pic that I just had to take of Jay resting his head on his guitar as he played. These boys were all so tired and this shot was just too cute to resist.

Candi snapped this one of me and Danlos on the couch. He was hard at work making money for the band and I was just enjoying the music all around me and good times with some of the best people around!!!

After all of this, you would think that the guys were tired, but they wanted to check out the scene that is Chapel Hill, so we headed to Goldie's. This pic of Jay cracks me up...he's so animated!

Oh my god...I was soooooooo tired by this point, but clearly Ron was still feeling playful. LOL. He is such a trip.

Then it was off to the show in Charlotte. If I do say so myself, Candi did a great job of getting all of them in there and let me tell you right here and now that this is no easy task. One of them is usually blocking out one or the other of them and in this venue...it was soooooo small that you could hardly get back far enough to get them all in the frame at once! haha

This is a preview for the Ron Pope Family Tour. We've decided that I am going to do backup vocals, maybe a little keyboard and Candi is going to play the tambourine. Who knows...I might even play some harp by that time. haha

Ron TOTALLY sneaked this kiss in there!! Bless his heart, he did it at the last possible moment and I couldn't have been any less suspecting if I tried. haha. I just love this guy...he's SO family.

The famous group shot!! You gotta love it! I know I do!! WHEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

I love this picture. They were taking group shots with people and Dan yelled out for everyone to just come up to the stage! hahaha. Those guys...I just love em!!

And then we move on to Athens. I think this was quite possibly one of the best nights, if not the best of my life!! This is me and Phil...he's awesome. He was never out of Kansas before this tour and now he's on a three month journey across the US. He loves Star Wars and is amazing at drumming. In fact, he said that he walks around with cadences in his head. If you were ever in band, you'll know how amazing this is.

I have to post this because well...I love these two. Candi and Dan are getting married soon and it's going to be beautiful. I've dedicated their song "Saviors" to them because they are each other's saviours...it's beautiful...I love you guys!!!!!!

Me and my future brother-in-law. He was striking a pose. hahaha! He is so funny and after this night, I have such a new respect and admiration for him. I can't even explain it to you. A little history. Dan plays bass...he's from Mexico. He loves The Beatles and Ryan Adams and has a great sense of humor. He also chews gum while he drinks beer...I don't get it...but hey...it's his thing. : )

Me and Jay. This guy cracks me up and he wore that "Got Poop" shirt just for me at the show in Charlotte. We share humor about the coming Apocolypse and his trademark laugh. Jay studied music at Berklee school of music and is just amazing. He was originally going to be playing bass in the band, but is now playing lead guitar and rocking the faces off of people.

Me and Chris. Aw, Chris. He's such a good guy...you just gotta love him. He plays rhythm guitar and sings and plays harp. You have to watch out for this guy because his shirt has a tendency to come off during shows and then it will mysteriously appear back on him somehow. LOL Chris and I have a bond...I'll leave it at that. The last time I saw him, I was tucking him in and taking off his shoes. hahahaha

Me and Rp. I've known Ron now since October and he's just changed my life in so many ways. He is truly family and I can't imagine life without him now. He has a voice that is just incredible and a knack for songwriting that is hard to come by. He plays guitar, harmonica, piano and you'll never find him without his beloved phone. hahaha. Some interesting facts...He is Ron...so was my dad...he is 23...so is my sister...and he and my brother share the same birthday. Word. I just love him to pieces...that's all there is to it. Such a great guy. MWAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
