idiot resident: well, we're not going to give you albuterol while you're in here, because it's already in your advair.
me: um, no, i need the albuterol.... adviar has an anti-inflamatory and an anti-constrictive, it definitely does not contain a fast-acting bronchodilator
idiot resident: well... um... if you really think you need the albuterol anyway, i suppose i can put in the order
yeah. flovent and serevent do not equal albuterol. I hate first years.
in other news, my blood sugars are normal, as always, and yet... i now own a blood glucose monitor... just to be certain. oh well, better safe than sorry. i should just be a nurse. if you could get certified by passing one single comprehensive exam, i could probably do it blindfolded. i really enjoy the conversation that goes like this:
nurse: You rang?
me: my IV was going off, so i reset it for two more hours until my next med is due, i just wanted to let you know
nurse: oh. Ok. thanks. Need anything?
me: nope, I'm good.
at least i'm getting out of here today. i came in on friday. two weeks of ivs total, then i get to come back in january for a few more. not bad.
