Black Friday
Julie wallked along Crime Alley. She was going to visit her old friend/director Bentley. He offered to her up when she first arrived, but jail and Kathy changed those plans.
Kathy. What was going on with Kathy? She seemed to disappear almost every night. Yet while she was around during the day, she was very protective of Julie. Always asking where she was going or who she was calling. It's almost as if Kathy knew more than she was letting on.
What about the thing the vigilante had told her? About Kathy's family? What was that suppose to mean? Julie felt like she was in a chess game where she didn't know all the players or moves.
Kathy has been treating her nice though. She offered to invite Julie down for Thanksgiving dinner. Julie had forgotten. She had spent years in Europe and didn't spend much time reflecting on American holidays. Just as well, it made her miss her father.
She kept walking along Crime Alley. Kathy would've killed her if she knew Julie was walking along Crime Alley all by herself.
Bentley was once a big director. He had given Julie her first big role in "Dread Castle" which had made them both famous, despite the Clayface fiasco. But the hits stopped coming, Bentley made some bad investments, hit the bottle, and all he had left was the Gotham Theatre building he owned. It used to attract tons of crowds, and put on good productions. Unfortunatley, like everything else in Crime Alley, it decayed. Bentley was trying to put on another production and he told Julie he would love to have her. She would have to go under an alias. Jon couldn't know that Princess Portia Storme or Julie Madison were back in town.
It didn't matter, she needed to do something. Something to distract her.
