We have been telling the family over the last few days.
My Mum and Dad were ecstatic - I was actually pleasantly surprised that my Mum was so positive about it - she has never really indicated that she wanted more grandkids. They are already making plans to be here at the end of Feb so they can help out when the baby is born. That will be great - we have been nagging them for YEARS to come and visit (They live in South Africa).
Warren's Mum was also pleased - only spoke to her for a few minutes, and she immediately says "i have to be there for the birth - I was here for Amy (my neice) so I have to be there for this one also). Actually pissed me off a bit - my folks have NEVER been here - Warren's have been here twice (both times WE paid), plus she is old, overweight and sickly, so will be absolutely NO HELP at all - in fact will be an extra person for me to look after. (She has stayed for up to 6 weeks in the past, and even when I was working full time she NEVER once cooked a meal. Warren will have to handle the situation diplomatically, as I can;t have them all here at one, so my choice is to have my folks here.
Cameron wasnt really too phased by the news - he knows we have been tryong for a while - so it wasnt a huge shock to him
I told Amber and Amy yesterday. I was SO worried about how they would take it (especially consodering that it is like a "new family"and they are not living with me). Those girls are truly amazing - I am so pround of them. Amber was totally thrilled and excited - she can;t wait to see me in December to feel the baby move. Amy is head over heals that she is no longer the youngest!! If this new baby is HALF as wonderful as these two, I will be happy!!
Are looking into going on a cruise next month. We cant really afford it, but are currently in negotiations to sell a few of our Limited edition Montblanc pens, which will releive the finaincal crap for a while. We are looking at a 10 or 12 day cruise around the Baltics, with 2 days in Russia. There is even more pressure to do it now, as it will be a LONG time before we have a romantic holiday alone again!! I hope this works out - Warren is really stressed and he needs a holiday.
We are also planning our December holiday back to SA now - we need to book the tickets months ahead, as the flights get so full. If we can time it right, we incorporate Xmas and Eid, and so Warren only used 15 vacation days and we are off for a month! I will be 7 months then, so the flight will really suck!! Maybe someone will take mercy on me and check-in and upgrade me!!?? We checked the calander and we have Pecanwood for the Christmas week (Pecanwood is our holiday home which we own with 3 other people). We are going to try to swop out a few more weeks so we can stay there most of the time. Cameron want Tom (who he just went to Bali with) to come with - so I need to go and see if his folks will let him come - he will need to pay his own ticket and spending money bit it would be an awesome experience for him, so I hope they can afford it ($2000) and say yes!!
have a HUGE headache - have been having really bad ones - which is just pregnancy related so should go away within the next month!
