Yet another long day
I got a lot done today, but now I'm absolutely exhausted. I didn't sleep too late because I had things to do. So I did my things around here and headed to school. I went all the way to school to drop off some of my stuff for the Schülercafe (the kitchen for home-ec classes and stuff...they actually cater for people, too). I talked to a couple of teachers there, but the place was basically empty because they're all on field trips this week. I didn't stay long before heading home. I picked up groceries along the way, and then I came back home to clean up some more. Eventually I gave up and went to Alexa's. I hung out at their apartment with them until Alexa was finally ready to go. We met one of her friends and spent the afternoon shopping. Alexa's finishing up the 10th grade at her Realschule, so she has her "graduation" Thursday and needs something to wear. By 7:00 she had only found a shirt and still needed a skirt and shoes. She and Julia were going to try a different shopping center, but I headed home because I was just too exhausted. I'm beat, and I still have some things to take care of around here before bed. And tomorrow I'm spending the day with Monika, so I don't want to be too tired. Still, I had fun hanging out with Alexa and Julia today. We usually just speak German with each other, but they like to say things in English to practice and so that I can correct them. And it's fun to hang out with them and try to remember if my friends and I were like that back in the day...I feel so old. And I feel tired, so I'm going to get back to work...
