I'm off to Melbourne, FL for the
Comparative Cognition Conference (Co3), with the rest of the New College dolphin research contingent (surprisingly large). I'll laze around with Kama who I'm rooming with again (again? See my
Marmam Biennial entry), check out a bunch of swell talks, catch the banquet, and of course, give my presentation on Saturday.
Oh, who am I kidding? I'm not really that nonchalant. Let's try this again.
My first professional presentation!!! I'm so totally becoming a Real Scientist! I'm way psyched. And I feel really prepared, too. My slides look great. I've practiced. My beloved mentor Gillian likes it. (It's basically my
thesis in five minutes.)
I rock.
Sounds like Kama's here for unicycling. Wish me luck.
