Aside from going to my son's baseball games, I've been mostly "in" this spring. That's partly due to the chilly/rainy weather, but, mostly, it's because I've been hard at work revising the 5th book for my Friends for Keeps series. So, I'm really looking forward to getting "out and about" next week!
I'll be driving over to Rochester, Minnesota for the Southeast Service Cooperative's annual
Young Authors, Young Artists Conference. More than 800 4th-6th grade students from 64 schools will be attending the two-day event. The young authors/artists will have the opportunity to meet with & learn from poets, illustrators, artists, journalists, book crafters, and authors -- including me! I'll be leading six writing workshops, eating gummy worms, and hanging out with all kinds of awesome kids. Can't wait!
My summer plans are shaping up too. I'll be tootling off to Tacoma for a couple of weeks in June. Then, in July, it will be time to celebrate my newest Friends for Keeps book! My Forever Friends releases on July 7. I have
several funzo events scheduled. I hope I'll see YOU somewhere along the way!
