*sigh* here we go again...

so apparently, i have become very incosistent with my fandoms. after atlantis, i finally got into psych; but now, in addition to that (and partially because of the fac that psych is on season break right now so no new eps for the time being), i'm also addicted to bones. and with addiction comes photo-editing, and fic. so now i'm in the midst of several fics at once in fairly new fandoms, all in different fandoms...and i have several promised fics to write when i have time. *sigh* this could take a while...

lol here is the first halfway decent piece of bones!!fic that i ever wrote ^_~ Slightly Au, but it was food for my shippy soul ^_~

Title: Change for You
Fandom: Bones
Ship: B&B
Rating: G
Warning: Spoilers for "The Parts in the Sum of the Hole."

Note: So here it is!! My first Bones fic O.o *nervous twitch*. I have wanted to write them since I saw the show for the first time in December; but until last month I had only watched it that once, and even after I started watching for real, I had no grasp on the character's voices. This is the first attempt that I made that was even halfway decent...:p I wrote this before I saw the episode based on a rant that my friend had about it, and one line in particular that caught my mind. After seeing the ep, I realize that the fic doesn't quite go along with it; but it's AU, eh? ;) Let me know what you think!!! :D

"Bones, please; can't we talk about this?" Booth begged, getting in her way and standing firm so that she couldn't walk out on him again. "Can't we at least try to make this work?"

"No, Booth, we can't!" she snapped, an edge of hysteria coloring her voice that was so unlike her as to frighten him. He had never seen her like this before. All of that calm, rational, logical sense that she so proudly displayed seemed to have flown straight out the window, leaving this emotional, shaking mess behind.

"Why not?" he pressed. "If it doesn't work, then it doesn't work, and we move on. But if it really is meant to be…Bones, do you really want to let that chance pass you by?" Temperance let out a little scream of frustration.

"It's too much!"

"What's too much? Bones, whatever it is…"

"Booth, I'm sorry, I can't! I can't do it." She sighed. "I can't change for you."

"Oh, Bones, Bones…" Booth took her by the shoulders and forced her to look him in the eyes. "Bones," she crying was now, and it broke his heart, "I'm not asking you to change anything for me." He lifted one hand to gently stroke her hair back from her cheek. "Temperance, I love you as you. I wouldn't ask you, ever, to change one single thing for me…except to kiss me." Closing his eyes, he leaned forward and pressed his warm lips to hers.

Her lips, honey sweet but mixed with the salty taste of her tears, were shaking when his touched them. Her body tensed under his hands, but for once she didn't pull away or try to slap him. When he realized that she wasn't going to push him away, he leaned in and kissed her deeper, drawing her closer to him. She made a soft sound in the back of her throat that he recognized after a moment as a sob.

Without warning, she broke the kiss; and suddenly she threw herself full-on into his arms and clung to him.

"Booth," she choked, unable to force any more words past her tears. As gently as if she were a very small child, Booth wrapped his arms around her and began to rub soothing circles across her back, whispering comfort to her.

"Shh, it's okay, Bones," he murmured endlessly to her. "It's okay…"

...fin.

Note: So there you go. Thoughts? O:)
