Random updateness:
-Globals was really fun. I have way too many pins for my own good now. We saw an Alabama team from Walter Jackson in Decatur that was fantastic and placed third overall.
-Don't go see X3 - it was not so great. Neither was Da Vinci Code for that matter, but I wasn't expecting as much from that one.
-I'm still applying to jobs all over the place. Real jobs, that is. Nothing yet, but I'm hoping to hear from some really good prospects soon.
-On the temporary job front, I had two interviews recently. Well, one interview, one "well, you're basically hired" thing. I'm hoping for the place where I interviewed (won't hear till Monday), but in the meantime, the other place is not letting me wait to hear from the one I want. So, I'm going to start there tomorrow. Where, you ask? Papa John's, of course. Yes, this is the 7th summer in a row that I will have sold my soul to pizza. I'm dreading this so much. It's really like having a recurring nightmare every year or something. I know that it won't be that bad once I get into it, I just don't want to. And, the unfortunate part is that the new manager guy, who wasn't there 8 months ago when I last worked seems to think I'm his new 'assistant.' That came out of his mouth and I immediately said, "Shift runner.(emphasis on the period there)" He looked at me a little confused and just agreed with me. No way am I going to be assistant manager, I don't care how much they pay me. Well, at least it's positive in two ways. 1. Money is always a blessing when you're a college student/recent graduate. 2. I won't be as bored.
-Why don't people check and respond to emails? Seriously, few things make me more angry - though, yes I do forget to respond sometimes, but at least I check my email and usually respond eventually.
