C is for...

May 17, 2006 01:41

This is how it works: comment on this entry and I will give you a letter. Write ten words beginning with that letter in your journal, including an explanation of what the word means to you and why, and then pass out letters to those who want to play along.

Joanna gave me a C - which has turned out to be mildly difficult.

-Clarinet: well, duh. A given.
-Comedies: As in Shakespeare's comedies. They tend to be my favorite of his plays... well, the tragicomedies, the later plays.
-Colbert: He's funny. His show always cracks me up.
-Coconut cake: it's what my mom would always make for my dad's birthday and my birthday when I was growing up. It's awesome. Only my mom's. No one else's. Well, I can make it too, but that's all.
-Charlie (and Gretchen): My cats at home. I just wanted to put Gretchen b/c she's more mine and Charlie more my dad's, but the whole letter rule... Grey is 18 now, poor old cat. Charlie's just one and a half. He's the sweetest cat ever, but weird. Grey is evil, but we love her.
-Celeste: my first best friend. Kindergarten through 5th grade. We fought over a play (The Three Kitty Cats Gruff... don't ask) we were writing/directing/acting and we never made up. Or rather, we grew apart. You can't avoid someone for 7 years in a class of 60 people.
-Curtains/Cameras/Citizenship: All three of those words remind me of my grandfather and his stories about living in/visiting Germany and the war and becoming an American. Ask me about them someone - I love to tell his stories.
-Cows: Reminds me of the cover of the Circle and of the Beef Mobile in Montgomery that Casey, Kristen and I encountered while at my sister's cooking competition.
-Casey (as well as Kim, Kelly, and Kristen which all are very C-like names): My friends, yay! Friends are the best people ever.
-Crest: Crest is a cool word for several reasons. One: TBS has one, and it's very special. Two: the KKY brothers made us a crest which was very nice of them. Three: It reminds me of waves which reminds me of physics which reminds me of calculus (C word!!!) which was one of my favorite classes in high school and the class in which I made an 8 in in college - which was really cool (a record low, and it didn't end up effecting my GPA b/c none of the tests mattered in the end.) Four: Crest means the peak. I feel like college has been a crest in my life, but I know that I'm still going uphill and that something even better is ahead. Yay! Look at me being positive about g-g-g-graduation.

Alright, I think that was 10. If not, well, I've already started getting dumber since graduation.

Let me know if you wanna do it... or do it again. I'll be brutal. Who wants a Q... anyone? ;+)
