I ran across
this interview with Kenneth Johnson, the man responsible for the Alien Nation TV series. And this interview is all about that! (Well, and about V, which is also cool.)
I really loved that show and it ended far too quick. I really liked the books too, but then the TV movies were a little disappointing, because they were working from the same unfilmed TV series scripts that the books were based on. I didn't get new stories out of watching them.
I was really interested in their mating rituals, sex, reproduction and all of that. Though their eating habits were just gross. Who wants to eat a dead animal?
Buck was my favorite character, but Albert was cool because he was a binnaum. And, well, they were all pretty interesting and fun. I should really get that show on DVD.
Part of the interview also talks about rights and how network entities can't work with each other. And how that deprives us of cool stuff on TV. :P
So it's a good interview,
go read it.
