Class

Today we had a slide show in water color. It was awesome. It's always so funny to me what some people consider art. The horrid watermark that is impossible to get rid of, and the ruin of a beginning painting, some people strive to get it in their paintings. Professor K says that watermarks are simply were birds were meant to be painted. He is a brilliant teacher. He's trying to get us to discover who our favorite painters are so that we can get a feel for what style we want to paint. It was a very informative and helpful class. Sadly, half of the morons in the class took a slide show class that had no makeup work as an excuse not to come. You can tell the people who have parents with money for them to go to school, and then the students who have to get grants for good grades or loans they have to pay back one day.

We had to read a very boring story for British Lit. It was about two ivory, which here means slave, traders. One ends up killing the other, and then it is left up to interpretation whether he is killed, or he commits suicide. When the trade manager finds him, he is hanging from a cross. The last line is good though. It's talking about how it looks like he is standing at attention, how his cheek is flirtatiously resting against a shoulder, and how "irreverently he was putting out a swollen tongue at his managing director."

I can't, for the life of me, figure out how this is supposed to tie into our study of the Titanic. Professor Woodhams might possibly be a genius, or a little insane. Probably both. All the good people are.
