Once upon a time, about a year ago, I had a conversation with a coworker of mine. Somehow, she and I got onto the topic of reading and listening to books, and she told me about a website called
Audible.com. It's a site where you can download full books, and it'll import them into iTunes, or you can put them on other mp3 players, or just burn them to CDs. I realy didn't think much about it, because at the time, I didn't have a CD burner, I didn't have a good mp3 player, and I had a horrible computer.
But I was talking about audiobooks to Bill yesterday, and he mentioned that he used to use this site. And I went there. And it kicks butt. See, you pay a membership fee every month. There's a promotional one for seven bucks and change per month for the first three months, then it goes for 14 and change a month. But each month you get a credit, and one book equals one credit.
I got Diana Gabaldon's Outlander for under eight bucks. It's normally forty. I am in love with this website.
