yeah, i know what you are saying. i agree, but unfortunately that can't really be fixed too much unless i reshoot or have better equipment. that muddiness comes from lack of light, plus water acts as a filter and absorbs a large percentage of the available light & color that are present in the above-above water holga shots.
i can make more adjustments in photoshop, but i tried to stop before it started to look pixelated from the tweeking.
using a lower ASA film in the underwater camera would help, but i would have more problems with exposure. more light and being closer to my subjects would help too.
you know what this means? back in the pool you two!
i had so much fun! and i think the pictures came out great! i've tried to do the underwater thing before, and i think your are really nice and contrast-y considering the water. but i actually really liked that we shot at golden hour above the water bc the sun makes such nice reflections on the sides of the mini waves in the pool. great job!
great! i love three, four, and five the most! three is so cute and seems to capture them well; four is fun, has awesome contrast and makes me jealous b/c i can't float; and five is grand for many reasons, but mostly the toes in the foreground. there's never enough toes.
it seems everyone is drawn to the holga pictures. of course, i am as well. so i suppose this means i'm gonna wrap my holga in a plastic bag and take it underwater! it seems the only reasonable choice.
