So, my doctor's office immediately had me come in when I called.
My doctor (who's a Doctor of Nursing, which I love) said that, as is true, Lyme doesn't tend to become detectable until 4-6 weeks after a bite, so she wants me to come in eventually and get checked, but didn't test for it now. But, because it's a Lyme best practice, and also because my bites are still visible and red and large, and that's odd, 10 days after the first bite, and kind of infectious, and I have a history of cellulitis, she's putting me on Doxycycline for 10 days. (Apparently it can make you more sun-sensitive/prone to sunburn. Didn't know that!)
She also found an (absolutely massive, and pretty gross) bunch of earwax in my right ear, so she took it out. If that was the cause of increased tinnitus, then I'm fascinated.
As I knew but didn't really incorporate into my thinking, most of the longer-term effects of Lyme, like tinnitus, don't show up immediatelly.
Anyway. Will go get meds now.
