Personal Belongings
The company is not responsible for any personal items you bring to the work place. Please do not bring valuables or money to work, as we do not provide a secure area for protection of such.
I can accept the first one. I don't like it, I think it's stupid, but I can accept it. But to follow it up with the second just serves to highlight how incredibly toothless the first one is. They're admitting that they don't protect our valuables, yet they expect us to accept the level of protection (read: none) that they're giving our lives?
I like how they even specify money as one of the things we shouldn't bring. Drivers, don't bring your tips in, the company can't protect them!
Furthermore, the most a cash register is allowed to have before a drop is required is $150. (Because they're soooo good about following that rule.) Even if I work from open to close, I'd be hard pressed to pull that kind of money. And we have three tills.
In completely and utterly unrelated news, I finally have my gun! In my hand! Well, not in my hand, because I'm typing and that would be tricky and unsafe, but look!
The larger one is Kelsey's XDm 9mm. It boasts a 19+1 capacity, and is all kinds of fun.
Mine is the much smaller LCP 380, with a mere 6+1 capacity. The difference is mine can easily fit in a pocket, and even loaded weighs less than a pound.
To give you a better sense of scale. It's tiny.
