Anthony has been exploring his independance lately and testing my skills as a mother. This morning at 8 am I heard christopher waking up to nurse, so after fighting with myself to get out of bed I headed tword the boys room. Before I walked in the room I noticed that Anthony's bed was empty, which is becoming more commonplace. He had his teddybear thrown on the back wall, his pillow under his brother's crib, his blanket shoved in his window, and his bottom dresser drawer opened. So I was dumbfounded, since anthony can't walk that was a real feet for him. It took me a minute to gain my senses and find him, but I finally did. He somehow got in his closet and went to sleep. I couldn't help but laugh. He's getting so fiesty.
Tonight I put him in his bed around 10pm. He smiled at me and held his teddy then closed his eyes. That took me aback. No crying, no throwing a fit, no 2 hours of screaming, just closed his eyes. WOW! Has never happened before. After 1 1/2 hours I finished Christopher's bath and went to check on Anthony. His pillow was on the floor, his matress in his closet, and him and teddy were under his bed frame smiling at me. I wanted to tell him that he was a bad boy and that he's not supposed to get out of bed, but I couldn't. I was so proud of his accomplishments that I couldn't ruin his smiling, glowing face. He was so proud of himself. I just can't believe he did all that without making a sound.
