Okay, so Jos is teaching me how to play the piano, right? Well, I have these AWESOME piano books that my AUNT used back in the day...and they are the best. haha. So, I thought that I would just share with you some of the lyrics of the little tunes that I am playing. I know that you can't even get half the effect without the music...BUT, you can't have it all, can you? So, here you go...
THE LIFE GUARD
The life guard at the swimming pool,
Is our friend,
Name is Jim.
He sees that we obey the rules,
While we swim.
The life guard has to go to school.
Learn to save
people's lives.
When danger comes he must keep cool,
So we'll thrive.
NOTE: That one is dedicated to Jackie Carroll....the only life guard I know besides "Jim"
THE FLAT IRON
When you touch a hot flat iron,
You let go as quickly as you can.
'Cause you'd surely burn your fingers,
And they'd be as brown as a pecan. <----my personal favorite
When you play staccato notes,
You lift your fingers quickly as you can.
Just pretend the keys are hot,
But you won't get burned,'cause you know the plan. (um...what plan? Did I miss something?)
Yeah, so...hope you enjoyed that as much as Jos and I did. We seriously laughed for a straight 5 minutes. Maybe more. Wow...
