Memory leak from Hell
I use Firefox preferentially. Here in Afghanistan, the computers have IE and Firefox, so of course I use Firefox. Sometimes I have problems with it freezing up with a dozen or so tabs open. Usually I close and reopen. Today was different.
I had Firefox open with five tabs up:
Yahoo! Mail

Least I Could Do
Drow Tales
Slightly Damned
Five tabs, and it freezes. I wait a few minutes, and it unfreezes. After awhile, it freezes again. Odd, so I go to Task Manager, and firefox.exe is using 500MB of RAM. Weird, so end the process and restart. A few minutes later, freezes again. Now I'm getting pissed. So I go to Task Manager again, and check processes.
This is when I am shocked to note that firefox.exe is using 1.5GB of RAM. On five tabs. What. The. Hell.
*shakes head*
Oh, this computer has 2 GB of RAM and Windows XP.
