The cover is lovely. Thorne looks very stern, which is his protective of his insides face. I am going to order it up on Friday, which is the soonest I am able.

So excited for you! This is a wonderful thing.

BTW there is some chance of me being in Ct. over the upcoming weekend. I am not sure-- but maybe. Any chance of getting a visit in?

Still trying to work out the details. I will know more by tomorrow night. Being able to see you, if even for an hour or two would sweeten a trip to MIL's, to the point of making it something I really would look forward to!

Right now my daughter is making me want to rip my hair out. I am inclined to send her to sea!

Not to a seminary for young ladies, to acquire some accomplishments and polished manners?

A seminary for your ladies with afternoons getting t'gallants in. This was the little girl who used to climb trees and shout 'catch me mommy' and fling herself into the air with no more warning than that. She also liked to ride her bike down hills with her eyes shut. Before she came into my life it never occurred to me to have to tell anyone not to do that.

Right now we are having her be 15, and quite sure that nobody has ever been in love the way she is. She is shouting 'Nobody understands me,' and storming off. A nice visit to Connecticut should cool things considerably. Even if gf goes with her, I will have a little break.

I think i will want your book in paper form, so I can have it to hold and have the pretty cover. August 2 is the date? I agree, it cannot come soon enough.

Oh, dear. I was that 15-year-old once. The chemicals, they are strong at that age. My storming was interspersed with sobbing. My mother packed me off to my grandmother and then to one of her best friends from college for the length of my spring break, because she needed me away from the boy and away from her nerves!

August 2 is indeed the date and I'm twitching here waiting for my author copies to show up because I want to hold it in my hands with the pretty cover, too! And see the words in print on paper. I'm more than a little curious about how it'll look, typeset. It's probably a good thing that they don't let authors muck about with that -- I'd be driving them nuts asking to see it in Baskerville, and Garamond, and other not-quite-standard bookfaces. I really like Garamond. And I'd be adding twiddles on either side of the page numbers and other fussy bits.

I have to wait until next month to order bookplates that I can sign for people. I'm looking forward to it, though.
