BEWARE: RAMBLING AHEAD

Best booth was definitely the Duke Nukem booth. Second-best was Child of Eden because that game looks fucking gorgeous (never gonna play it though, fuck you Kinect) There were probably better booths but those were the best that I could get even remotely close to! Portal 2 was especially a mob scene. 3DS was a bare-bones booth, just a bunch of kiosks to try the system out and an ass-long line to do so. I walked along the perimeter and peeked over the shoulder of someone playing, managed to get aligned good enough and DAMN Ocarina of Time looks fine! I gotta get me that shit ASAP. Meanwhile I got buttons from a bunch of places and spent $2 on a couple TWEWY pins (a player pin and Ice Blow because it/Ice Risers was one of my most-used) because I've somehow managed to never get any until now. And I bought the LRR pins that I didn't have yet.

I ended up being WAY too overwhelmed to take any pictures!
Fortunately, thanks to hanging around LRR for most of Saturday, other people took plenty of me by accident!
I pinned my Creepy Doll to the back of my waffle hat for Friday (while wearing my Creepy Shirt, so I could be Creepy coming AND going!)
The left side of my hat is adorned with LRR buttons, the right side has the GLaDOS core pins I bought from Jadie.
I'm lurking behind Paul here. Probably waiting for a good opportunity to buy buttons! (I ended up waiting until the panel later because the Magic contest took priority.)
I'm also in this picture but I'm only linking it because the food court cracked me up due to it having CARNIVAL CONCESSIONS. INDOOR FRIED DOUGH STAND IS GO. (I didn't dare go over to check the prices though, seeing as just a single bottle of Aquafina cost $3...)

A couple days before the event I started frantically working on some gifts for the crew, which they enjoyed (or at least their cats do) despite being rushed and not nearly as awesome as I'd have liked. Man, you guys, it was SO awesome to meet them! Even if it WAS only the "core three" there. I got hugs from all of them and totally avoided doing anything super-creepy to them in return! Graham is so tall, somehow I never realized it before even though I KNOW they've mentioned his height in a podcast or something. I think the best LRR-moment wasn't even from any LRR-specific event, but the Escapist panel when they were discussing video length in reference to user satisfaction, A CASCADE OF DICK JOKES. Almost as good was the unused pilot episode of Big Score, SOMEONE NEEDS TO LET THEM MAKE THIS A SERIES, IT WAS SO GOOD. FFFFFFFFFFFFFF

And then on Saturday Graham handed me a Magic booster and I couldn't very well say no, could I? So, although it and the starter deck that was included in the swag bag are still unopened, I am teetering on the Magic brink. I always did like watching people play it in high school! Somebody stop me BEFORE I start. (But... it's cheaper than anime, isn't it?)

There were some great cosplayers walking around, but while the hottest was an X-23 that had a perfect body for it, my favorite was the Creeper who peered around the corner at 1am and hissed at me.

Know what's embarrassing? Being assaulted by people with mics and videocameras when you're trying to venture through the insanity that is the exhibit hall. I came off sounding like a total airhead, so here's hoping it never actually pops up on Destructoid! (But if it does, I will make sure to link everybody for maximum humiliation!) The dude was also a big fat liar, I was NOT the only Oshawott there on Saturday! There are photos of another floating around!

vidya, twewy, cosplay, pokemon, i am awesome, paxeast, photos, beware: excessive tags, lrrfag, holy shit words
