DOIN' IT DIFFERENT THIS TIME
Skipping AnimeBoston and going for PAX East instead! Less holiday conflict that way, plus I can maybe weasel a hug out of Graham in return for that card :3c
I know, it's probably disappointing for those of you who were hoping to room with me at AB, and I'm really sorry. But I really regretted skipping PAX East this year, and I don't want those regrets to be compounded by skipping it again. I can still use my Mijumaru costume (hey, B/W will be coming out around then!) so I'll get my cosplay on anyway. I won't be as violently tempted to overspend on figures I have no room to display, which is good because I also don't have the MONEY. I poured too much into Desert Bus (even though it WAS for charity, so I can technically use it as a tax write-off) and I'd like to rebuild my funds a bit, y'know?
Plus, I barely watch anime anymore. I still love it, but I don't really know all the new stuff (the one exception really being PSG) and I feel pretty out of the loop. Meanwhile I do want to get more into gaming. I loved Portal after all, and I have a bunch of games I bought on Steam last December that I haven't actually touched 'cos I still have to buy a gamepad. And once we get that new TV for Christmas, I'll be able to finish SMG2 and NSMBW and get DKCR and Kirby's Epic Yarn and a whole shit-ton of other games that look so delicious. At heart, I've always been a gamer, so it's only fair that I go to a gaming con at least once...
