In my photographs of Georgia
I try to show what a great people Georgian are and how difficult they live. The poverty, specialy in rural areas, refugees problem, minorities problem.
this is Sandro and his wife, they left their home to their sons and left for the summer house. He grows a grapes and makes the chacha.
Tbilisi. two hadicaped men selling homemade vine and chacha, to kill the time they play blackgammon all day.
Tzhvarichamiya. Once soviet resort, now amolst ruined. No running water, no heat. A refugee from first Osetian war, her prime goal to collect enough wood for the stove in winter.
Tbilisi. Local cafe shop that serves Azeri and Kurd minorities.
Owner gives to mentally ill man a jar of tea and sugar for free.
Kaspi village. This woman gave birth at age 16. She is an alcoholic. Her son Giorgii is paralized. She dosn't get any help.
Tbilisi. Avlobari, the poor Armenian district.
Tbilisi. Georgian young artists.
Tbilisi. Ex-student campus that is used for housing refugees from Abhkazia. Inga lives in one room with her housband and 3 children for last 15 years.
Tbilisi. Djuna is Armenian. the photograph of the Georgian president Mihail Saakashvili in her home. She is thankfull for raising pensions but it was swallowed by inflation.

Tbilisi. Unemployed Kurd Yezid men playing domino in cafe shop. To the minority it's much harder to find a job.
Tbilisi. Nathional Dance Academy. It's a chance to get out of poverty.
Sport as well.
But there ara changes too. This was the ordinary bus in Georgia. You can't find them now.

The Tbilisi lake. Housing for refugees from Abhkazia. The veteran from the Abhkazia-Georgia war sits on the banch. He holds an bullet in his hand.
Caspi village. Levan brings fresh grapes fron the garden.
