Spanish journal entries vs. Voyager

Apr 15, 2005 00:58

I thought I would spend some time getting ahead in Spanish today by actually writing my journal entries before the night before they were due - this sort of worked, but then Mikey came up and he wasn't doing work and then The Boy came back and he wasn't doing work (as a side note he actually kept his shirt on for at least 1.5 hrs. after being in the apartment) and Marina was sort of doing work but not really; so, we did what anyone would do in this situation: wasted time watching Voyager season 1 dvds. Some things I learned tonight instead of Spanish are...

1. If Lyle fails to win a Nobel Prize for inventing the lightsaber, he should turn his attention to inventing a warp core and if that doesn't work he should try to create a holodeck
2. When someone shouts 'Brace for impact!' you should always brace for impact
3. The Boy still can't tell the difference between Star Trek and Star Wars
4. There are lots of expendable people in Pilot episodes
5. Having a life-expectancy of 9 years really sucks
6. Fake science is cooler than real science since you can make things in space explode with lots of fire
7. Buying one expensive set of Voyager dvds makes you want to buy another expensive set of Voyager dvds

If only all nights of doing homework could be this productive...
