Oh, I have a very strong interest in Middle Eastern Garb--I just don't have any yet--due to research thoughts.

I read everything in the wrong order. :) I checked my email before seeing Gwen's post in LJ.

My focus is Fatimid Egypt, relying heavily on the Cairo Geniza.

The Cairo Geniza! That's something to set a girl's head on fire. I'd like to look into that too, if only because Muslim Egypt is so--I need a better word for seductive.

My focus, though, is Outremer--the Crusader states. Although really, I love any of those periods of convivencia among Muslims, Jews, and Christians, whether it be the actual La Convivencia of Spain, or the Siculo-Norman-Arabic period, etc., etc.
