happy late halloween/dia de los muertos
Hi, long time no talk. Happy late halloween! I am so excited about christmas it's not even funny. I bought a mini christmas tree yesterday on sale and a little santa claus, i'm buying things slowly. The next thing on the list is a nativity set. And I painted my nails red in anticipation. So these last three weeks I had a boyfriend. Can you believe it, yes it's true. But fortunately it ended prematurely, this sunday and monday. Phew. It was a terrible experience, but I guess you have to make mistakes sometimes to learn. At least I confirmed my suspicion that dating sucks, unless it's the person you end up marrying. It's just a lot of energy and people's hearts you hurt. And you always end up hurting yours too, even if you didn't like the person as much as they liked you. It's a lot of guilt.
Shakira is in lisbon this very moment!!! Tonight the european music awards are being hosted here, so all these celebrities are here like shakira and madonna. I missed her interview yesterday that I really wanted to see, hopefully they'll replay it. My sister says she speaks brazilian portuguese really well and promised she'd give a concert in portugal next year. If I don't go I'll be very sad so hopefully I'll be able to go. She is so cool and talented. If I had anyone to go with me, I'd go and be a crazy fan on the red carpet. And it's raining too. Anyway, next week I don't have any school all week, it's awesome. It's because of some kind of theological convention that I guess is important. But it's being held here this year. And the cool thing is I'm going to be part of it! Well not really, just one of the days, this lady in my classes asked me to translate. So I'm going to be translating into english what she says. I'm going to pretend I'm like nichole kidman from the interpreter. I'll probably mess up or not know what to say but oh well.
