See...That's Why You Can't Hate....
I just signed onto FaceBook not too long ago because I hadn't been on it in a while and I saw that I had some friend details and confirmations there. I am now friends with this girl that I used to go to school with in 8th grade when she first transferred to the school from Ghana. Now, back in the 8th grade, she was as tall as she is now (5'9 1/2") and she honestly wasn't much of a looker. However, NOW she is quite the opposite! She is tall, granted, she cannot do much about that fact, and she "grew into" her features and stuff, and is quite pretty. No, I am not gay nor am I afraid or ashamed to admit when someone is attractive or pretty. All I am saying is, THAT is why you can't hate on people! People ALWAYS remember things like that! I was never one to get picked on in school (not trying to seem conceited or anything), but I could imagine the damage that bullying and teasing can create in the life of a child. Back in the day, people used to make jokes about her, saying she was Big Foot, the Abominable SnowMan and whatever other childish things (because that's what they were) and now she is killin' it and livin' life!
I am glad that she grew up nicely. She looks pretty good and seems to have a good life ahead of her. She was smart and I hope that she still has that going for her, as well as her looks. That's one of the reasons I am nice to people...you never know when you will be in a predicament when you need someone and then come to realize that they won't help you because of a grudge from long ago. That is messed up.
