Extra Effort...

I do not like history. As a matter of fact, it is probably the subject I like the least. Now, this does not mean that I will use that as a driving force to slack off or an excuse not to do well. I will actually use it as the fuel into my extra effort. I do not like to fail. I am not a failure. I am all about excellence.

Right now, I have to read the first two chapters (74 pgs) of "1587: A Year of No Significance: The Ming Dynasty In Decline"  by Ray Huang, but for some reason, I cannot pass the first paragraph. It is so ANNOYING right now. The last thing I want to do right now is read about Chinese history. I would rather go to sleep or study for English. I would rather type a paper...seriously. I wanted to drop my history class, but there were no other classes available and my schedule is sensitive to time.

The situation is not helped either with my mother telling me to do all this stuff every other minute (literally). I mean, can't she see me busy at work?! Goodness! Then if my GPA was bad she'd say some foolishness about me not spending enough time studying. Anyway, that was enough of a break. Back to Ming China.

(sigh)
