I am utterly engrossed in New Tricks at the moment (somebody, please, join me!) and so I have produced fic. This is my first fic on here and my first after an extremely long hiatus, so it's as much a writing exercise as it is a story

I'm absolutely delighted to find someone who feels about this series the way you do - so *I* got a bit excited too! :¬D And I loved the fic; for me, you have everyone so wonderfully in character, and I enjoyed it very much. :¬)

The bit about Clarky made me feel very sad, though - that was a very touching piece. I was very fond of him, and I've often wished they could've had a "proper" goodbye for the character so we'd know what happened to him...rather like the artist boyfriend Sandra had in S4, and who seems to have disappeared in S5. :¬}

I'm glad you liked the Clark piece, too - I just wanted to know what happened, really, so made something up. In my head it's a long, dramatic thing where he finds something out about corrupt police officers and is brutally murdered, and of course UCOS get to the bottom of it. I don't mind that they don't always show these things because they do everything else so well - character development, fun plots and guest stars, etc, but it'd be nice to know canonically what happened

The unexpected shut-down aborted my attempted comment but I'll repeat it though briefly.

As another fan, I really enjoyed reading this story especially the part with Clarky who disappeared so unexpectedly after season 1. All the encounters were totally in character.

Thank you very much! I liked Clark and missed him in later seasons - so decided to devise a fairly horrible death for him! I'd love to expand on it sometime but I'm not sure if I will, it might be better just hinted at.

Sandra Pullman is just too cool, isn't she? And I love Sandra/Gerry, their relationship is just so cute and funny on the show and needs to be explored more. Why isn't there more fic?
