spent last night and today choosing courses/program! so im no longer doing the honours poli sci with minor in history of africa/asia/latin america. all those history courses are covered by international development (IDS), as are a million other interdiciplinary courses (like religion) i want to take. sooooo - now my plan is to do joint honours in poli sci and IDS. i was also thinking for a while of doing a minor in psych...but thats just getting a bit too crazy. im gunna be taking a lot of funky courses next year. im excited. im a little scared cuz half the courses i signed up for are 300 level, but i did that cuz a) the topics are more specific and thus more interesting and b) because 300 level courses are more important towards my program (IDS in particular) and c) it will be nice to have a bunch of courses for my program under my belt to give me more leeway in choosing courses in 3rd year for Nottingham!
i went to the Nottingham university website today and looked at their poli sci courses - and damn - some of them are SO cool. im not sure what level courses i would have to take there. i guess i dont have to figure that out quite yet. it could be SO amazing if i went to Nottingham.
i seriously need to settle down - all this course stuff has got me completely up in my head and ungrounded. i've read 7 pages of neitzche (sp..)today and thats all because everytime i tried to read i just ended up back at the comp looking up more courses.
tomorrow i have to wake up early to sign up for courses - then everything will be all settled.
