i went to a concert with claire-elise tonight. has anyone heard of regina spektor? she's amazing. she's from newyork and is alternative and antifolk/folk, whatever that means. she is so meek and cute when she speaks on stage, and then she starts singing and is so confident and uses her voice as a completely original instrument. her words and persona intregued me...what is her life like? who has she loved? who has hurt her? she seems so human. incredibly creative and human. it was just her and the keyboard in this little hole in the wall club that didnt even have a sign outside it.

two of my favourite songs of hers so far are "samson" and "the flowers", but i havent been able to find all of the songs i really liked on the net. i bunch of her songs tonight were brand new.
