When I Walked On The Field to Meet You First.
I Was Scared That Richland's Girls Were Like They Said, Maybe Worse!
I Shook Everyone's Hand, Introducing Myself,
Not Knowing All Of Our Friendships Would Turn Into Wealth.
I Knew You Were Different Right From The Start.
We Had a Blast Together, and I Knew We Would Never Part.
You Were Truthful, Honest, I Knew You Were No Con,
Through The Summer and Fall, Our Friendship Grew On.
I Loved The Way You Walked On and Off the Field, Always so Strong
The Way You Would Trip Over Firstbase and Act Like Nothing Was Wrong.
We Would Eat All Your Moms Food At Our Game
And Laugh at Dusty's Jokes, No Matter How Lame.
When The Fall came to An End, I Knew I'd Miss You So Much.
We Exchanged Phone NUmbers, E-maiL Address's and Such.
We Would Talk All The Time No Matter What Got In The Way.
I Never Expected to Recieve a Call at Work One Day.
The Call Said You Had Left, That You Were No Longer With Us
I Cursed God Asking HIm,"How Can You Take Such An Innocent Face!?"
Asking Him, "Why Couldn't You Take Me In Her Place?"
I Can't Play Ball With Out Thinking of You
Remeber Seeing You Shine In That Richland's Blue.
You Are in My Heart Forever and Nothing Can Change That.
Just Know You're In My Thoughts Everytime I Step Up To Bat.
Give Me The Strength to Play Long and Hard, Just like You've Always Done
I Will Continue to Play, Even if we are down By a Million Runs!
I Will Think of You Everyday, Especially When I Walk On The Field.
I Love You Jessica Nicole Altizer and Always Will.
