time for an update :-)
First of all, I want to give a great, big apology to all my LJ friends, as I have been very bad about checking in with you all the past month. Ever since the news came down about "Angel" 's cancellation, I have been pouring my heart and soul into the efforts to reverse the WB's decision, to the point where I barely do anything else when I am online. So please forgive me for being such a bad LJ friend, and I will try to stop by and see you in your LJs soon. *mwah* to all of you!
Just got home from a drumming circle - our whole family went. It was great - there is something so primal about drumming, and feeling the beat of the rest of the circle. It made me feel better, that's for sure!
I picked up the Hollywood Reporter with the "Save Angel" ad in it - looks really good! If you are interested, I scanned it in and put it on my web site, so you can see it there. I also wrote to Save Angel today, to see if they had any ideas about who to write to at Fox, about the licensing fees being jacked up too high, which is apparently a complaint the WB is making, and may be part of their reason for cancelling the show. I got this nice response from Simon himself -

So I feel like I contributed something by raising this point, and then passing the info onto the MR board and Marsters Mobsters. Plus, I'm still writing to the WB execs and the heads of the WB affiliates who are backing our efforts.
Speaking of MR, that's another chuckle I had today - my label on the board has changed as of today! When you post there, you get a label designation underneath your forum user name. Everyone starts as a "Minion" there, and work up to various names, like "Ball of Sunshine" (I was stuck there for quite a while), or "Everyone's Butt Monkey" - it depends on how many posts you make. Also, there has been a problem where the labels weren't changing when they were supposed to, for whatever reason - Rosey herself couldn't figure out what was happening, and she runs the board! Today, though, I am now "Wee Little Puppet Man"! This may be in part because I am using my LJ icon of Puppet!Angel as my avatar on the MR board. Whatever the reason, I was tickled beyond belief when I saw that today! LOL!
Oh well, simple mind, easily amused... Keep writing your postcards, gang. And take care of yourselves!
