And I'm still gonna argue that it's just the uniforms they happened to find in the labs while trying to escape in a panic. >:D

But they were black in CC and purple in FFVII- meaning that the second class SOLDIER magic brigade (of which Kunsel is a part of, Zack was a fighter specialist) uniforms were dyed over, because ShinRa is stingy and disorganised. The black ink ran out, dammit. And Cloud's flashbacks in FFVII... his head was screwy okay? I'm going with the CC version with the black uniforms to start with and Tifa obviously used too much detergent washing Cloud's clothes when he was still whoa nelly after his first mako poisoning.

My logic. Behold. (Occam's razor can kiss my butt)

So they stole uniforms of the SOLDIER Thirds or Seconds, never said they belonged to Firsts.

Hello, here to leave a note about Cloud's favorite color. In this Interlude it's purple, but in Ch. 11, part 2 when Zack is chatting with Cloud about likes/dislikes, it's blue. What is your final answer? *Jeopardy music plays*

Definately hard. I mean, depending on what we're talking about, my answers tend to waver between a forest green, sapphire blue and a nice, rich scarlet.

Eh, I don't know if it was a typo or not, but again it's going back to "can have several favorite colors" thing. At the time, it was blue because it made him happy. Here, it's purple because it reminded him of friendship and safety. Or something. IDK.
