Standing atop the hartwell dam today, i realized my two greatest fears. fear of heights and fear of drowning. the gushing sounds of the water below combined with the torrent wind had me weak in the knees. but in the end, i was able to still the fears inside and take in the beauty of this man made force controlling nature.
