been busy busy busy.
the stuff with my car has been taken care of. i got checks for both the total claim and the hit and run claim already. now all i have to do is go buy a car. i think i will go with something less sporty with higher gas mileage. i actually made out pretty good with the money that i got and more importantly, i have no more car payments. i am going to buy a cash car so i can be free of payments for a little while.
i am still fighting the good fight and i think this time i might actually wiin. i've been bumming drags here and there from people. i think this method has worked out the best for me thus far. i don't really feel the strong urge to smoke as often and i only have one full cigarette every few days. god i so hope to be rid of this horrible habbit for good. on the down side of things, i am also pausing from smoking anything else because my lungs will only allow me to breath or smoke. but not both. honestly speaking, i don't miss smoking anything at all.

after ~5 hours on the phone, 3 ticket cancellations and 6 ticket purchases later, i have my plane ticket. i managed to coordinate it such that i will fly into sf, meet up with my sister and fly the rest of the way with them on the same plane. i haven't been to hong kong in over a decade. i can't remember if i was there last when i was 14 or 18. eitherway, it's been a second. i am sad that i will miss the wedding, but glad that i will be in hk for mid autumn festival. it's been a really long time since i've been emerged in the culture and i am looking forward to it despite the reason why i am going.
there's so much stuff going on right now, it's hard to keep things straight. i am grateful that i have someone around that can pick up the slack for me when i am too weak to do so for myself. He is taking me to the beach this weekend for some quality r and r time. i am excited, he got us this room in a hotel on the beach. complete with tiki bar and everything. man, i can't remember the last time i was at a beach. i am dipping out of work at 2pm today to get a head start on traffic. can't wait, only 6 more hours to go.
