Iron Man has, once again, eaten my brain.
Let me tell you how:
1) I bought the DVD full of extras, and since I got them last week I've already watched it with my dad, then yesterday with a couple of friends (let's just say it's very entertaining to watch the movie with three 28 year old guys), and I've went through the extras at least twice (I've seen the deleted scenes more times than I can count, though);
2) because of the extras, I got curious and decided to download and read The Invincible Iron Man (
Tissa is such an enabler...), and perhaps this is the time I should mention that I don't read comics? Like, ever? And I totally have no idea on background or whatever, but then I started reading and ohmygod, did I mention that I hate cliffhangers? That's probably why I don't read comics. Anyways. The things I'll do for Tony Stark...
3) I'm finally reading the Iron Man novelization I bought a while ago, and while the movie is generally much better (it seems that the story was based on the earlier scripts, and I totally prefer Tony's movie version than what we see in the book - thank you, Bob!), I am actually liking Rhodey now, which is something that didn't happen in the movie - the few problems I had with the movie was all about Rhodey (ok, and perhaps one or two too long scenes about Stane, but then Tony was usually in it too, so I just stared at him), and I actually kind of identifyed myself with some of his reactions. So, who knows? Maybe he won't bother me as much in Iron Man 2.
Speaking of it, are we there yet? :)

I am also feeling very accomplished.
After making one good friend of mine fall in love with
The Trials of Van Occupanther (then again, who doesn't?), I got another good friend totally and completely hooked on The National - and that with
Alligator and
Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers only, I didn't even have Boxer with me (I just lent him the albums I had in my car), and now he's even thinking about going to Tim Festival to see them play.
My work here is done. :)
